El Nopalito in New Braunfels

This place is a joke. Staff needs to be trained on customer service.... But my main issue is warming up frozen tortillas with a microwave. So this place is now in my black book with many others. My guess would be that this location being in New Braunfels is why it's still in business because the food sux!

I got two potato egg and cheese tacos this morning. Their phones were out so there was no calling ahead. I waited thirty minutes then the only lady that served me was unpleasant but I chalked it up to them being so busy. I got home and bit into EGG SHELLS in my freaking taco!!!!! I am PREGNANT and so upset. I will NO LONGER be supporting El Napolitos as the "best tacos" in New Braunfels. Really? Egg shells in my taco???

Rating is for breakfast only. This is THE place to go for breakfast. Great taco's, miga's, etc... I don't eat other meals here for a number of reasons, but start your day the local way when in New Braunfels. You won't regret it.

Honestly been going since I was a child but my recent experience was beyond my expectations fast good waitor plus got are good quick . Lol only thing I say the white female who works there is attractive always great to see

Friendly people, excellent food

Great food and friendly service. They are extremely busy during lunch and dinner and the drive through is usually pretty busy as well. My favorite drink is the horchata.

When people talk of fajitas this side of the Mississippi the Nopalito Paradilla (#66) is in the contention for the top 5. They taste as good as they look and with a tip and drinks under $30 for us two. Texas sized family approved.

Food was good service was not watched a roach climb the wall next to my child. Gross

Our server wasn't even doing the bare minimum, we had to ask twice just to get our drinks...another server added our table to her section and did fantastic job despite having to make up for Server #1. If the second server hadn't stepped up like she did, I'd have given one star...or zero if I could.

Food was great as always and I will return. However todays service was bad and they need to know. I used to work food service and usually very easy going. I spent literally 30+ minutes in the drive through and I order 2 basic breakfast tacos. I pull up to the window and see tall thin girl with bleached hair. She never acknowledges me. A few minutes go by and she glances at me but still nothing. I watch her play with her phone eventually give someone else a refill. ( 10 minutes sitting here without ordering so I am watching closely now) finally a young Hispanic girl walks out with food for a table inside and she makes eye contact. She could tell I was annoyed. She came over and asked if I had ordered. I said no and she was apologetic She looked at the blonde annoyed and went to make the foodat the end of 30 minutes. Food was great. It was 130 range and few customers there. They were not busy.

Great prices. Fresh, good food. Great service. We like that they also offer drive through.

Excellent Bacon and Egg tacos. Our first takeout order in 45 days due to COVID19. Unfortunately, after driving home 10 miles away, my wife and i were disappointed that someone mistakenly left out one taco. Small deal? Maybe. But at a time when every expenditure counts, it's important to sort of "get things right". Call the restaurant and complain? My time is precious, more than ever. No. Will we go again? absolutely! Hands down they have the best tacos in the area. Could toast/brown their tortillas a bit more, but still awesome. I will update to 5 Stars next trip, IF the order is correct.

Loved my lunch here today. I had the beef enchiladas which were great. Rice and beans were nice and tasty. The guacamole salad was delicious. Great food, quick friendly service, and good prices.

Best hamburger in New Braunfels by far...bacon cheeseburger with fry/potato chips made on site...amazing taste..juicy and delicious...very highly recommended!

This is our favorite Tex-mex restaurant in town. The food is good, the portions are generous, the prices are fair and affordable. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The food and prices make us happy, the level of service keeps us coming back.

Ask waitress for silverware 2 times and she forgot on both occasions. By the time she brought them my food was cold.

Do not go through the drive through, it's not a fast food to go place. The food was reasonable (tacos, rice, beans) but it's a sit down place so dont expect things quickly

Service was great and prompt. The flour tortillas is what got this rating. They were partially raw. They needed to be more cooked. The menudo was not tasty— too gamey. The salsa was not flavorful— tasted like canned. The refried beans were delicious!

We love El nopal Leto's. It is definitely nothing fancy but it is great Mexican food. We particularly like the breakfast.

My wife nd i went there for breakfast today at 1:00 pm we got there nd waited for 10 minutes after they told us to sit where we pleased nd we left cause no one came to serve us we went elsewhere i don't recomend this place at all

Finally we can eat tacos again at Nopalitos #3!!! I’ve missed the breakfast tacos and lunch specials. No more drive thru and eating at home, now my food goes from the kitchen straight to me at the table! I see there’s a bit of a change in the restaurant also since y’all have reopened. Now when I come in there’s some good mix of tejano and country music playing, gives a good positive vibe in a Mexican restaurant. And I’m not sure who the big bearded guy is behind the register with the tattoos, but he seems to have it under control, the other guy use to have us in line for ten to fifteen minutes, and that was just to pay after eating! Lol... keep up the good work tattoo, thanks to you I can get back to work on time after lunch! And thanks to the cooks I can get a great cooked meal at a reasonable price... yay for Nopalitos in our life!

Usually a good experience but today... not so much. I went in with my 2 and 4 year old. Tool a minute to get service and it wasnt that busy. She finally got our order and mind you I just order 3 simple breakfast tacos. After 20 minutes of waiting and watching everyone around you getting there full breakfast plates and the waitress was avoiding making eye contact. I asked her if our tacos were ready and if she could make it to go since I had to leave to get my wife from church. She said should almost be ready. Im thinking "almost"? I waited 10 more minutes and nothing. My kids were so hungry at this point. I walked up to the register and found my waitress and asked if it was ready she said no. So I left. She didn't even apologize. I'm never returning back here.

i, being a weary traveler from San Antonio googled where to buy tamales, i was directed to El nopalito, owner and staff wonderful people, prices very reasonable, I would encourage you to check this place out, as an out of towner I was very pleasantly surprised, Lloyd the taxi guy 😎

The food is always great and delicious... I've never had to wait a long period of time to be waited on or for the food to be served... I've been coming here for 15 yrs and will continue to come here for 15 more!!!

Excellent & delicious food !!

It was packed but seemed to take forever. We got are food my pork chops were overcooked really dry. My girlfriend's food had a bunch of eggshells in it. I asked for water and the waitress just totally forgot until I told forget the water and bring me a sweet tea. They said they would make another plate it's been 20 minutes. She also told us it was ready and its 5 minutes no food I'm done.

This place is always good. Friendly staff that has worked there for quite some time.

If I could give zero I would. Half of my groups food was undercook and the other half’s was burnt. Can’t complain because our waitress would never come by even when we needed water we where there for over a hour and 45 mins of that was waiting on our water

Best Mexican food in all of New Braunfels as far as I'm concerned. Service is good. Relaxing/easy going atmosphere. Following all COVID-19 protocols. Glad they're still open!

My fiancee and i went to eat breakfast this morning. , it was busy and it took a while for our waitress to come to bring us menus ...... Normally we would have gotten up and left but seeing that you were understaffed or something we noticed our waitress practically running from table to table and besides doing her best to attend to each table as quick as she could ....... She was also bussing her own tables . she kept apologising for not coming sooner , we told her to relax and that we understood. Other people got up and left when their waiter had to be asked for menus and after that he was not seen for over 30 minutes .... Our waitress was the blond white female , we recieved great service and of course great food . didnt get her name but we left her a very good tip , she should be commended for her efforts to wait on people as fast as she could while bussing and cleaning tables . when we go again we will ask for her as our waitress , you have a great employee.

Great tex mex at a great price. They have pancakes and American style offerings, but their migas is King.

It's a decent place to eat. Very typical. It can be hot in the restaurant in the summer so if you dont like that there are many other Mexican restaurants in New Braunfels.
